Facial recognition technology is the most common technology used in smart locks, and is becoming increasingly more popular among users.

However, the convenience comes with an added challenge in security. Traditional facial recognition can only collect 2D images, or images in visible light, which leads to problems in using photos or low light situations.

To solve these problems, TINYUET’s facial recognition smart door locks use a dual camera and proactive near-infrared source in order to complete the recognition process.

• The dual camera provides images from different distances, thus, it achieves highly accurate 3D screening and avoids the use of photo unlocking from other people.
• The near infrared light offers stable facial images, meaning, the imaging result is not affected by environmental light direction or intensity, which also improves the accuracy and reliability of facial recognition.
